These are the things I learned: Share everything. Play fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some. Take a nap every afternoon. First impressions are helpful and important. Yet they are certainly not everything. A quick first impression can give you a feel for what's going on. Still, there's much substance that lies beneath the surface. Allow your instincts to guide you without letting them dominate you. Do the work and dig deeper before making any long-term judgments or commitments. In presenting yourself, seek to make an excellent first impression. I was browsing thru some internet sites looking for some marketing materials, and I stumbled across a little saying that I have seen before, but had long forgotten about. I thought I would share it with you all EXCELLENCE is achieved by those who CARE more than others think they should, RISK more than others think is safe, DREAM more than others think is practical, and TRY HARDER than others think is necessary.
