Dogs Rule in Mecklenburg County - 06/30/08 05:28 PM
Effective July 1, 2008, the "pooch pass system" which has been required in order to access Mecklenburg County dog parks will no longer be required. Though the $35 annual fee will be phased out, pets will still need to have their vacinations up to date in order to use the county dog parks. The 4 county dog parks are: Davie Dog Park on Matthews-Pineville Road, Charlotte,  Barkingham Park, Rocky River Road, Charlotte, Swaney Pointe K-9 Park, Nantz Road, Cornelius and Ray's Fetching Meadows on Monroe Road, Charlotte. Frazier Park, Wedt Fourth Street, Charlotte is due to open sometime in July.
