I have spent a lot of time writing and talking about North Carolina’s Southern Outer Banks. 
I love to write and take pictures so I have an extensive amount of information about the area online.
My start in blogging came back in the fall of 2004 well before we moved to the area.  I made it a priority from my first post onwards to stick to what I knew and to leave the speculation to others.

coastal property: The water is nice, time to visit the beach before the crowds - 04/25/07 07:36 AM
Well there is no question in my mind that the official beach season is open.  We had friends visiting us in Cape Carteret this past weekend.  I thought that I was going to have to carry them off the Emerald Isle beach on Sunday evening.
The weather was so cooperative and the water had warmed to the point that it was nice enough to get any without a severe shock to the body.  I was only sorry we had not brought some beach chairs.
