It's that wonderful time of year again in San Luis Obispo County. The time of year when the days get a little shorter, the nights a little longer and the county gets a nice little nip in the air. I can always tell that Fall is falling by the quantity of leaves and tree nuts that pile up in front of the office and on our sidewalk at Tartaglia Realty and trust me that has happened this year!

23 additions to the MLS in SLO for September 2010 - 10/05/10 08:33 PM
 
In September there were 23 homes put onto the market in San Luis Obispo. By home I am referring to a single family residence on a foundation with 2x4 framing, not a condo, PUD or mobile home. Some interesting numbers come in from these 23 homes including quite a skewed price difference, common to San Luis Obispo. So what do the numbers say?
According to the MLS, the most impacted price range of homes listed for sale is in the $500,000-550,000 price range. That being said there is a home listed for under $400,000 and on the other extreme; a … (0 comments)

Just a few thoughts for young and first time home buyers - 10/04/10 10:41 PM
Lately, a lot of young professionals and first time home buyers have been asking me about what's going on with the real estate market and whether I think it's a good time to buy a home. My immediate response is that it depends on the situation that they're in. If they have the money for a down payment, a solid income and it's close to the same price to pay a mortgage as it is to rent then it's a perfect time to buy.
