blog: Scared (for a better use of words) Crapless. - 07/26/08 01:48 PM

I joined The Rain on October 04, 2007 and shyly surfed the site for the first 10 days. No comments, no posts, in fact I hardly understood the concept of "Blogging." Blogging, it's not even in the spell check system. How important can it be if it hasn't made the spell check system? (hint, hint Active Rain Team). I thought what the heck, I'll look into it now that I'm here.
My first post was on October 14, 2007. Nervous, yep, after seeing the post that some of the seasoned (OK, old timers) Rainer's were posting.
But, what to write? Would I … (56 comments)

blog: How to increase the bust line! - 05/30/08 05:23 PM
Bust lines in business is the last thing all of us want to increase. The Bust Line in business equates to bankruptcy, out of business, done, over, nadda, whatever you want to call it, you are busted.
As our bust line gets closer the party is over in this case. Real Estate Professionals in most cases create their own bust line by not taking the B.R.A. approach. BRA? Now you are scratching your head I'm sure.

blog: Why isn't "Blog", "Blogger" or "Blogging" in the spell check system yet? - 02/02/08 11:28 AM
Have you ever stopped to wonder why "Blog", "Blogging" or "Blogger" isn't in the spell check system yet?
With the increase of these three words being used daily and becoming common words it amazes me that they haven't made the cut into the system.
Maybe, just a personal thing for me, but every time I do spell check with the hopes of getting a "No Misspellings Found" report, poof, there's that little red squiggly line under those three words. No gold star, no smiley face on my spelling test. Dang!
Maybe someday I will arrive at a perfect spell check.

blog: Hey, where did my blog go so fast? - 12/24/07 02:32 PM
Active Rain is so active that the blogs seem to fly off the screen before anyone is able to comment.
How does one go about getting any screen life to their blogs?
I notice some of the blogs have longer lives then others.
I'm guessing others are in wonder about this same topic.
So, I'm begging the pilots of the successful blogger to drop the bomb on us newbies, plllleeeasse.
Thank you in advance for any help you can enlighten us with.

blog: Where can I find blog photos to post that won't get me in trouble with copy right laws? - 11/22/07 09:37 AM
I beg of the A/R Pro's. Where do you find all the cool cartoons, photo's and blinking word inserts that you include in your blogs?
I have been utilizing photo's that I have or from a photographer friend who gave me the OK to post his work. My concern is running into copy right laws if I use a photo from the WWW.
Thank you in advance for any help or direction you can send me in.

blog: Active Rain, the best thing since sliced bread! - 10/23/07 10:14 AM
I'm a newbie to Active Rain but have quickly come to enjoy the input from fellow comrade's in the Real-estate world.
Where else can we continue our education (as well as share our knowledge) in our bath robes.
Kudo's to all the Active Rain members for helping expand the general public and my education.
Plus I find this board to be much friendlier in regards to attacks on others. Let's hope it remains that way.
