During the month of January 2012 there were 12 new residential listings in and around the Box Elder and Ellsworth Air Force Base area. The total number of homes for sale was 91 compared to 89 last month.  6 homes have sold compared to 9 in December.

The average price of a single family home sold in the Rapid City area is $193,322 which is up from $163,533, with an average of 75 days on the market, down from 81 days this time last year.  Sellers have been receiving 93.14% of current listing price which is down from 97.15% in January 2011.
