listing agent: Do Sellers Believe That It Is The Listing Agent's Job To Show A Home To Any Buyer That Call About It? - 11/13/11 12:44 PM
 
My question is simple here -
 
Do sellers believe that it is a listing agent's job to show the house to any buyer whether or not they have an agent?
 
I have been asking this of my sellers over the last few weeks and I get a "Yes!" And, it is followed up with "Isn't that the job of the agent?"
 
So whereas we may be fighting about procurring cause... as agents, the public absolutely thinks that they should and can call the listing agent to see the home and answer questions.

What is the thinking again on listing on the 9's, or even a funky number for that matter?  In other words why list a home at $249,900  or $249,999?  Or even better 249,986 or something like that. 
Just want to get my thinking straight on why homeowners and agents list that way? 
Please give me your thoughts and what you have learned from others about why we are listing properties this way?

What are sellers, their agents and the virtual tour company thinking?  This is a house that is over one million dollars.  This house has been on the market over a year.  I wonder if this seller has even seen their home on the internet like other buyers have.  Even if the house was a great value, buyers won't see it that way.  And, this house has had the price lowered over 5 times.  This is where lowering the price rubs me wrong.  Okay, you can keep lowering, but until a buyer has interest in seeing the house further, they have no way … (14 comments)
