Pickens County GA Real Estate Sales Statistics for March & April 2010 - 06/22/10 04:05 PM
Perhaps the federal tax credit may have had some impact on home sales in the Jasper, Georgia, area for March and April, 2010.  Perhaps not.  I'm not sure we'll ever know.  Where March numbers were relatively flat month-on-month and year-on-year, April did show a notable surge in houses placed under contract, but whether this is attributable to the tax credit or seasonal shifts remains hidden. 
March home sales hovered at 14 -- the same as for March 2009, but still only half that of March 2008, which had 28 home sales. While the average sale price improved slightly to $189,912, the median sale price continued to … (0 comments)

Get the facts on the seller's ability to sell, before putting the home on the market!I believe it is pretty standard real estate practice in most areas to have a pre-qualification / pre-approval letter (or proof of funds), to submit to the seller along with the buyer's offer.  It reassures the seller and provides the buyer a stronger bargaining position.In fact, experienced agents generally like to have a copy of this letter from the buyer's lender, before they even begin showing homes to the buyer.
