Does negotiating a short sale in Georgia bring a real estate licensee into potential conflict with the law?
The Georgia Residential Mortgage Act (2009), in compliance with the federal Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008, makes it unlawful for any person to engage in mortgage loan origination activities without first being licensed.
