short sell: Short Sale Fraud - 01/19/10 11:26 AM
I have been following this story on Diana Olick's blog from CNBC.  My question to all of my realtor buds on here is if they have seen this in any short sales they have worked on?  The second lien holder asking for $$ from the transaction, but making it NOT on the HUD-1?  Anyone see this in their work?

short sell: WaMu contacts for short sales... - 10/06/08 12:02 PM
I am always looking for great ways to improve a clients expierience with getting a home.  I have a client right now that is looking to purchase a short sale home, from WaMu.  I have been in close contact with the realtor, and she is very frustrated with how long the bank is taking.  She is now asking me if I know where/how she can get information on WaMu, and how to push things along.  I do not have a clue where to look.  I would love to provide that info to her, so she can see my above and beyond … (6 comments)

The rate of foreclosure in the United States is really high right now. Not as high as some in the media would like us all to think, but still up there. They say foreclosures are up 57%, or something like that, and people think that the sky is falling. When one finds out that 96% of those carrying mortgages are paying on time, there is pause. Think about that, about 4% of those that have mortgages are not paying, or paying late. There is a definite disconnect here.
