Many of you have asked me what the heck is Disney Vacation Club, and why are you a member? I won't try to sell anyone on DVC, because that is not the point. As a Buyer, you may not like this now but you will when it is time for you to sell. The purpose of Disney's ROFR is to control the value of their property so that it remains in step with current values. When there is an accepted offer and a signed contract with a good faith deposit in escrow with a licensed and bonded title company, we immediately forward all contracts to the Disney Review Board. The process of listing and selling is easy. All the work is left up to us. First thing you do is give us permission to sell your membership for you by returning the signed documents. We then advertise on our website and other methods and when an offer is made we present it to you. Once all parties have agreed to the offer, then we prepare the documents and email them to you and buyer. How much is my deposit for a Disney Vacation Club resale?
A purchase price of $0 - $10,000 requires a $1,000 "Good Faith Deposit".
A purchase price of $10,001 - $20,000 requires a $2,000 "Good Faith Deposit".
A purchase price of $20,001 - $30,000 requires a $3,000 "Good Faith Deposit".
A purchase price of $30,001 - up requires a $4,000 "Good Faith Deposit".
If Disney World exercises their Right of First Refusal, your deposit will be refunded in full or transfered to another purchase. You do not lose any money!!

Recently a client contacted me innocently enough: Hey what Disney Vacation Club ownerships do you have available for re-sale? A standard and expected question. I politely and efficiently answered all of his "How Disney Works" questions. Probably 10 conversations. Once again, standard and expected. When this client started asking how to formulate an offer, I thought all my hard work had paid off. YEA!!! Right? Well, this particular buyer had a little bit of difficulty coming up with the right offer for him. Unlike traditional timeshares, you do not purchase a week at a time. Instead, you buy points which can be used to book rooms at any of the five (Old Key West, Boardwalk Villas, Beach Club Villas, Wilderness Lodge Villas, Saratoga Springs) DVC resorts at Walt Disney World as well as the two outside (Vero Beach, Florida, and Hilton Head, South Carolina). In addition, you can use your points for other Disney hotels (at Disneyland as well) or for the Disney Cruise Line, or, if you prefer, exchange outside Disney via DVC's Concierge Collection or Interval International.
