If you know anyone who bought a house between 2004-2007, they probably got notified by the LA County Assessors Office of their property value being reassessed and taxes lowered. However, in many cases, and in some of my client's cases, the new assessed value is really too high for the current market. By filing a new form to the Assessor's Office along with two comparables from the first quarter of this year, those homeowners can possibly lower their taxes.
