Blazing A Trail! - 06/24/10 09:35 PM
I had the opportunity to go for a four-wheeler ride with my son Matthew after dinner Thursday evening. He rides around Paw Paw's farm by himself each evening, but to ride in the subdivision across the road, he is required to have an adult. I became a passenger to supervise a ride. After returning to the house he slowed down and said that he'd like to be a passenger. I first thought he was sick. He wanted me to drive. I jumped at the chance, because one of my favorite things to do is ride a four-wheeler through the woods. We … (1 comments)

A Cool Way To Sell A House - 06/23/10 10:21 PM
I was out showing houses today and it was hot and sweltering.  I had 6 properties on our list. The first one was shaded, but a bank owned property with no air. Then we went to others that were resells. The fourth or fifth house was a resell and the air was probably cranked down to 65 degrees!  I noticed that we looked longer and closer because it was nice and cool in the house.
We might just be on to something - when your house is showing, make sure the A/C is working great - oh and make sure the … (1 comments)

My Mom Turned 70!! - 06/13/10 09:18 PM
My dear Mom is celebrating 70 years of life today!!  I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with her this afternoon. She is not trying to hide her age, yet her beauty does that quite well.  My Mom could have been the Mom of Forest Gump - lol!  She has so many sayings just like Forest's mom.  Over the years, I've treasured those sayings and often recalled them at random moments.
My Mom is a woman of faith!  I can't remember the time when I was first introduced to Jesus, but I bet she was in on the introduction.  She was  careful help guide … (1 comments)

The Fruit of Labor! - 06/08/10 10:58 PM
I had the opportunity to help in my father-in-laws garden earlier tonight and the first cucumber and squash were found!!  I get pretty excited because this is some good food and it's a payoff for some hard back breaking work on behalf of my wife's dad.  Planting a garden takes work!  You plow the ground, you plant the seed, you water the garden (or God does it for you :-)), then you keep the weeds from stealing the nutrients from the plant. If all goes well, in a few weeks you're harvesting some good veggies.
In life, the principle of planting … (1 comments)

Call Me - Text Me - Email Me! - 06/04/10 10:52 PM
I recently did an ad in a real estate magazine that said, "Call Me"; "Text Me"; "Email Me".  Well today it happened. I got this random text from someone I don't know asking me a real estate question. At first, I was thinking, "Who are you?" and then I relaxed and chatted via text.  At the end of the converstation, I asked how he found me and he let me know the real estate magazine. I like to ask where I'm found so that I know what part of my advertising is working!  That was pretty cool!
Has anyone else had … (15 comments)

Every Day Is A Job Interview - 06/03/10 07:59 AM
As I reflect on the jobs I’ve held over the years, I start laughing to myself and sometimes I lol!  I grew up on a farm in the great bluegrass state of Kentucky.  My Mom & Dad taught me how to work.  They pushed and motivated me to learn how to milk the cows, work the garden, cut grass, work in hay fields, tobacco fields and many more hard core, back breaking jobs.  I get tired thinking about some of them.  I literally milked three cows by hand each morning my junior and senior year in high school.  (I didn’t have … (1 comments)
