Always Wear Protection - Woops -

Tis the Season to be slip sliding away.  Showing houses during the winter season has always been a challenge.  Well it seems like we are showing more and more short sales and foreclosures and the properties just are not kept up to snuff as far as snow and ice removal.

I just showed a house last evening that was vacant.  No snow removal attempts whatsoever.  Client was already at the property previously over the weekend during the daylight and walked around the outside and wanted to take a tour of the inside.  Unfortunately the second time around they were not able to get off in time before darkness set in.  So I made arrangements to show it to them.

Always Wear Protection - Woops - Needless to say, I did not have any cover for my shoes, and they had leather bottoms on, and no sooner than I took a few steps into the driveway, I found out how much padding I had on my rump.  Embarrassing moment yes.  I gave the client a good laugh, brushed myself off, and proceeded.

We also have to take into consideration a lot of these homes will not have a piece of carpet to wipe your feet off on when entering.  So it would not be a bad idea to take a bath towel with you to put your shoes on or wipe them on, as you may end up belly up like I was outside.

So be proactive and "Always Wear Protection - Woops".
