I have lived in Lakeview Estates for over 15 years and have watched as Oswego and the surrounding communities in Kendall County have grown by leaps and bounds during the "hey day" of real estate in the early 2000's. I can't believe I have lived in Lakeview Estates for 15 years! Within that time both of my original neighbors passed away and new ones moved in. When I moved in I was one of the youngest in my immediate area. In established neighborhoods people seem to stay longer. So when my neighbor told me they were relocating I was really sad. I was used to seeing the husband walk their dog, Riley, around the neighborhood. He was a rescue dog and cute as a button. With six months already gone in 2011, Lakeview Estates like most of Oswego has plenty of homes for sale. Currently we have 7 active single family listings, 1 short sale pending and only 2 closed transactions in the last 6 months. Prices range from a high of $269,900 to a low of $169,900 for the short sale listing. The average price for the closed transactions was $208,000. We had 3 closed listings in 2010 at this same time.

Lakeview Estates is located between Rt. 71 and Grove Rd. in Oswego, IL behind the Ace Hardware strip mall. This subdivision was built by Property Concepts Inc. starting in 1997. In the single family category there are 5 active listings currently. Year to date we have had 7 sold homes and there is one home currently under contract. Two of the sold homes were foreclosures.
