buying real estate in central connecticut: Accept the Challenge or Back Down - 08/31/14 05:44 AM
Do We get Intimidated with a First Look?
I was getting ready to play golf this morning at a course named The Preserve. The name alone set the tone for the course as it is a nature sanctuary with a championship curse running through it.  The practice range was set up with island greens for testing hitting distance and accuracy, and anything hit wrong went into the water.
As the course winds through a wildlife sanctuary, 16 of 18 holes have water that needs to be navigated to score well.
Our real estate business can be equally as intimidating and challenging at times:

buying real estate in central connecticut: A Buyer’s Market Does Not Mean All Homes Are Overpriced - 01/07/13 10:43 AM
A Buyer’s Market Does Not Mean All Homes Are Overpriced I am working with Central Connecticut home buyers that keep proclaiming that they are enjoying shopping in a buyer’s market as all the houses can be bought cheap. Their belief is that sellers will be so appreciative of getting an offer that they will accept any contract that is offered especially if it puts them into a great home.

The real estate industry defines a buyers or sellers market according to the level of inventory, against a neutral market where the average volume represents a 6 month supply and assuming … (9 comments)

buying real estate in central connecticut: Here, Let Me Do Something to Brighten Your Day - 01/21/12 04:34 AM

Here, Let Me Do Something to Brighten Your Day
We’re in the middle of a winter storm and it’s ugly outside. Mother Nature is sending us a reminder of the season and also letting us know that we make our work plans, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be able to execute them.
I was scheduled to meet with a client today to pick up a contract. I also had requests from a client to see a couple of houses, tentatively. The storm said the plans would have to wait for a more opportune time.
So what I got as … (25 comments)

buying real estate in central connecticut: Be the Glue Not Part of the Puzzle, When buying or selling real estate - 01/19/12 05:01 AM
Working a real estate transaction carries a responsibility to see it through completion, successfully.
The analogy within this post is ideal for demonstrating the way a transaction can come together properly. The reference to being the glue that holds the transaction together can also be applied to life and maintaining our families and friends in our circle of life together.
Be the glue, not part of the puzzle! As a REALTOR® I feel my role in a transaction and in advocating for my clients is somewhat that of working through a jigsaw puzzle.  There are many intricate pieces to the big puzzle … (0 comments)

Sellers: A house that is on the market to be sold, is a commodity, and in a true economy, the laws of supply and demand are always on point.
