A little back yard competition over 10 years ago has evolved into an event. Thirteen teams armed with seasoning, pork, ribs, chicken and imagination competed for ribbons and bragging rights that will last for through the next year.
There is no publicity, yet for the 10th year crowds knew to find their way to Peterson Park in Wolcott CT on the 3rd Saturday of September and wander up the tents picking at the offerings of the contestants.
Pork and chicken was being deep fried, marinated in secret sauces, smoked, grilled then cut up into pieces for all to eat.

Wolcott CT Food Drive Sat April 6
Saturday, April 6 will be the day of a Challenge to the residents of Wolcott and anyone else that wishes to participate. Volunteers will man the Gazebo on the town green collecting donations of non-perishable food items stock the Wolcott CT Food Pantry.
It’s been a tough winter, and there are still many people having a tough time with the economy and these donations would be greatly appreciated.

Frisbie Circle, in Wolcott CT, is a cul-de-sac of 14 homes where everyone has a strong sense of community. The residents of Frisbie Circle in Wolcott CT are all very much into the Christmas Season, each spending hours of their time to put up Christmas decorations and lights to be appreciated by all that drive through the street.

Wolcott CT School System is Getting Ready to Open Here is the calendar for the 2011-2012 Wolcott CT school system.
In preparation for High School, incoming high school freshmen are asked to attend an orientation at the high school on Wednesday evening, August 24, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm at the high school.

The Hobby Gallery, Wolcott CT, - - - Where Imaginations Can Run Wild
I recently had a toy repair to do on one of our grandson's favorite trucks, a broken wheel. I tried to fix it, but it was evident that a new wheel would be needed. I thought it was going to need to be thrown out, when he wasn't around, and then the light went on.
