I just wanted to wish everyone a very happy thanksgiving.  I have so much to be thankful for:  My loving family,  my new found friends on active rain and clients,  many who have become my friends and all my other friends. I'm thankful to live in the United States where I have many freedoms and opportunities.  And I am very thankful for the men and women who are away from their families today serving our country so we can have these freedoms and opportunities. Let's all say a prayer for them and think of them as we sit down with our families today.

According to an article in "The Real Estate Professional Magazine" a survey of what consumers want when they visit a real estate website was released by Accent Realty Group.  

Information that consumers considered valuable were:

To be able to search for homes     85.7%

School Information                       42.9%

Local Crime Rates                        57.1%                

Tax Rates                                   28.6%

I just joined active rain a few weeks ago and I've been reading a lot of your blogs and posts. So, I guess it's now my time to write.  Interest rates are low.  Prices are good. You still can buy with zero down.  It's just that now banks have the nerve to ask for a good credit rating and proof of income. (no more stated income)  How dare they do that!  

I think the media hype is responsible for a lot of the problems in the housing market.  I'd love to hear your ideas.
