agency: An Equal Level of Representation for Home Buyers - 03/16/09 11:14 PM
Great Article in the New York Times Friday, featuring a good friend and colleague of mine, Ira Freireich of Long Island, NY.
The article points out how many homebuyers are becoming more savvy and aware of how they can get the best level of representation in the real estate transaction: Exclusive (3 comments)
agency: Dual Agency, Bad for Buyers (And Sellers!) - 03/16/09 10:36 PM
When I first began my career in Real Estate, I observed agents as they asked consumers to agree to dual agency. Sellers are often asked to do so when they list the home. Buyers are often asked to do so when writing an offer. When taking a listing they may have said (1 comments)
agency: Exclusive Buyer Representation - The Homebuyer's Best (But Little-Known) Option - 11/21/08 12:06 AM
Well, I just ran across a press release from the National Association of REALTORS either from May of 2008, or revised in May of 2008.
It says in the header that the article will discuss agency and representation options the consumer can choose from:

agency: Are Builders Partially to Blame for the Real Estate Crisis? - 10/03/08 03:20 PM
Can you blame builders for getting sucked into the hype?
When you are taking orders for homes as fast as you can build them, why not decide to build a ton of "spec" homes?

agency: Are Home Buyers Being Tricked Into Agency Relationships? - 06/03/08 12:14 PM

Buyer says "No."
Associate shows Buyer the home. (2 comments)

agency: "Old"Listings - What's Wrong With This Home?" - 02/23/08 11:32 PM
Naturally, just like a Buyer, when I see homes on the market for 180, 240, 360 days or more, I also wonder "What is wrong with this home?" Often, with a little digging, we can find out if the home was under a contract that failed or if there is some (0 comments)
agency: Does Your Agent Really Have YOUR Best Interest At Heart? - 01/24/08 06:12 PM
Broker Bryant's post about agency struck a chord with me when it was pointed out to me by a fellow ActiveRainer (Thanks Fran!) (Here's the Link) My reply deserves its own post, so here it is: I agree 100% that there is absolutely NO advantage to either Seller OR Buyer in Dual Agency. (3 comments)
agency: Sellers have a choice when it comes to Dual Agency - 12/20/07 01:11 PM
I don't represent Sellers, so why am I writing about this? Almost all Buyers will someday be Sellers and almost all Sellers buy after they sell. My clients may as well understand that what is true on one side of a transaction usually has its parallel on the other. Just as Buyers (1 comments)
