Economic News: As we approach the end of August and a new school year begins the Bay Area real estate market activity remains robust. On a national level Existing Home Sales had a nice showing in July after stumbling a bit in June. New Home Sales rose 3.6% in July as well. The minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee left the door open for further easing/stimulus in the face of a manufacturing slowdown and continued troubles in Europe.
