Blackhawk has 9 homes currently "pending sale" with a high price of $2,860,000 a low price of $749,950.  There are 2 condo/townhomes "pending sale" with a high price of $599,900 and a low price of $575,000. The inventory data for this month made a very nice rebound from the May report.

Economic News: The good news for this week is that lower energy costs have eased inflation worries. This was apparent in the results of both the Producer Price Index as well as the Consumer Price Index. Retail Sales either matched or beat expectations and Jobless Claims improved over last week but remain above the 400,000 threshold. Keep in mind that real estate markets are local in nature and there will be micro markets in every town.  The activity in the San Ramon market has experienced small dip in unit sales in the single family home space while pricing has remained consistent. The opposite is true in the market for attached homes where unit sales have increased, at the lower end, dragging down the median price.

Economic News:  JOBS...JOBS...JOBS was the focus of the trading activity in this holiday shortened week. The positive results of yesterday’s ADP Employment Report had many revising upward the expected results of today’s Employment Situation. Alas, the figures released this morning were anemic to say the least and reveal virtually no employment gains over the last two months. The unemployment rate rose to 9.2% from 9.1%.
