Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair - 07/30/06 05:54 AM
Last week the "Oldest Fair in the Nation" opened in Historic Fredericksburg Virginia.  Whether or not it is as old as billed could probably be argued but "America's Most Historic City" is laying claim to the title.
Oldest in the nation or not, the fair sure does feature some events that are … (0 comments)

Bluemont Concert Series - 07/28/06 07:14 AM
Seems that I have been concentrating on the Fredericksburg Virginia real estate market on this blog and have forgotten to mention other things that are more important to more people than real estate.
Don't know how I have let the Bluemont Concerts go without mention on this blogsite.  They are truly one … (0 comments)

Half Empty or Half Full - 07/23/06 06:20 AM
I grew up in a small city (Peekskill) along the Hudson River of New York State.  After retirement from the United States Army in 1988, my wife Carol and I moved to the Fredericksburg Virginia area.  The area appealed to both of us because of its proximity to Washington DC and … (1 comments)

Fredericksburg Virginia Real Estate Market - 07/14/06 07:16 AM
Ever wonder what the real estate market is like in some other parts of the country? Homes for sale in the Fredericksburg VA region are growing and the number of homes sold is declining.  Surprised?
I have been tracking the local real estate market for over a year now.  Had indications last … (0 comments)

Where is Fredericksburg Virginia? - 07/10/06 05:20 AM
Fredericksburg Virginia is located midway between Washington, DC and Richmond, VA.  Further, it is along the Rapahannock River and sits astride Interstate 95.   It also features a railroad station that provides a stop for the AMTRAK and Virginia Railway Express (VRE); as such commuters to Washington, DC and Northern Virginia have … (1 comments)
