American Flame Recalls Fireplaces to Replace Gas Valves Due to Fire and Explosion Hazards
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Fireplace Gas Valves
Units: About 12,000
Manufacturer: American Flame Inc., of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Hazard: Gas can continue to flow into the fireplace pilot light area after the switch has been turned "off," posing a fire or explosion hazard … (0 comments)
