Doors Are Opening The key to the economy is an increase in employment and the key to employment is the increased participation of the consumer and business owners. The hope for the real estate market will be built on the jobs created by this healthy cycle. Ford is adding 7000 in 2010 and 2011, Target is opening 21 stores in 2010 and Alcoa will activate three idle aluminum smelters by June. GM and Chrysler will add 1000 engineering positions each. The Last Week That Was This past week mortgage prices has improved a little bit. The market was definitely over sold so some come back would be expected. We had weathered war in Korea, the Irish debt crisis, another meltdown of the Euro, improving economic in America and the decision the Quantitative Easing was on hold. With all of this news the days of a 30 year fixed mortgage at 4.25% seem to be behind us. The Dollar is considerably stronger and if you are crazy enough to believe rhetoric, the Democrats and Republicans are going to work together. Anyone for (0 comments)
