housing crisis: More "Helpfull" Legislation? - 09/24/10 12:50 PM
Here I go again butting heads with the NAR.  Surprised? 
 The legislation, H.R. 6133, “Prompt Decision for Qualification of Short Sale Act of 2010,” was offered yesterday in Congress by U.S. Reps. Robert Andrews (D-N.J.) and Tom Rooney (R-Fla.). The bill would require lenders to respond to consumer short sale requests within 45 days.  For the full bill version current as of this writing, go to:

To try and put this in perspective, if this legislation is passed, banks are going to be forced to give an answer of yes or no within 45 days of the short sale … (4 comments)
