DNS News reports from FREDDIE MAC as they answer to the accusations thrown at them in the hearings on Capital Hill yesterday. As I watched CSPAN I could not believe what the Congressmen where asking. They wanted to give Freddie and Fannie more help by dictating to the individual states how they are to handle the foreclosure process. When will Congress learn to just get our of the way? These people have no idea what is going on. Maybe congress should be told to come to more Five Star conferences and training seminars to see just what is being done by the Real Estate Community to help borrowers and get the technical training needed to make informed questions and decisions.

The Oprah Winfrey Network is developing BBC Worldwide Productions' "Love Town, USA", an original unscripted TV project about mass matchmaking in an All-American town for a potential 2012 TV series.

Ken Smith, the Mayor of Kingsland, received a call on October 31st saying that Kingsland, Georgia had been anonymously nominated to be in the new TV show, "Love Town, USA". We were told we had a week to convince the producers that Kingsland / St. Marys and the surrounding communities were what they were looking for! A Community Photo Op was held at the Kingsland Welcome Center on November 3rd with approximately 110 people in attendence & a video was produced highlighting our area & attractions.

On November 11th, the Mayor received calls stating that Kingsland had made it thru the next selection round for "Love Town USA"! The next step is a site visit from BBC America/OWN network representatives to scout the area with a camera crew.

USAA Movers Advantage

I spent weeks trying to become a REALTOR for USAA movers advantage. Well, I was in for a rude awaking, and yes I said RUDE! The program is geared to put money back into the buyers pocket which is great for the home buyer. Only not so good for the REALTOR involved, it is a referral program from USAA MOVERS ADVANTAGE to get money to have for a refund for their clients. The REALTOR involved in the referral process cannot disclose to anyone how the program works. Why, because USAA movers advantage do not wont their clients or anyone else to know the facts. Now that just dont sound Right!

USAA movers advantage gives their clients money back, if they use USAA movers advantage. The Realtor that is referred to them has agreed to give 20-35% of their commission back to USAA, who in return gives "PART" of it back to their client. Yes I said PART of it.

As a Realtor I strive very hard to make the buying and selling process as stress free as possible for my clients. It upsets me to know that USAA movers advantage is the one claiming to be putting the money back into the buyers pocket. When in all actuality it the REALTOR who is giving the BONUS. USAA movers advantage gives only a portion to the buyers and keep the rest.. Now that doesn't sound Fair.

In Alabama and Mississippi , as a Realtor, we are not allowed to give away cash as a gift or bonus to an unlicensed person. So is USAA movers advantage a real estate company licensed.

I urge buyers to find a REALTOR they like, trust and have confidence in. One that will work for their best interest, you will end up better off if your REALTOR works for you and does not have to give up most of their commission.

Buyers say they are working with USAA movers adavantage, but the advantage appears to be more for USAA Movers Advantage than the buyer.

Three homes have closed escrow in the month of March in Kingsland, St Marys and the rest of Camden County GA. We currently have only 502 single-family homes on the market. Our average DOM is only 185.

We are fortunate to be way ahead of the curve under the current state of the union. I attribute this to our exceptional climate, location to major international airports in Jacksonville Florida and Brunswick GA. Our proximity to Federal law Enforcement Training Center and the NSB Kings Bay; which are consistently hiring and increasing employment.
