With all the news saying "no one is going to get a mortgage" and me having to defend the Real Estate market each and every day because of this, I am proud to say Wakefield, Ma Real Estate is #7 in the United States.  This rank was reported by Business Week and then went on to all the local newspapers.  A gentleman from Business Week called me personally for an interview about why Wakefield is doing so well and what draws home owners into our town.  The poll was taken nationally based on the number of days properties spent on the market.  Wakfield was the only town within Massachusetts.  Of course just because compared to other cities Wakefield is doing well, it is still not at the top of its game and naturally prices are still down.  But I consider this a good thing because it gives buyer the good deals they deserve.  As far as the people who are reporting no one is going to get a mortgage than I ask why do I get flyers daily from banks offering very good loan packages???  So yes, the economy is in a slump, but I am trying to do my part to keep my town afloat.

Healthy Dog Pet Co. is a cozy store located in the downtown area of Wakefield, and it is dog friendly to say the least.  Owned and operated for 2 1/2 years by Danielle Bently, who will always be there to greet and help you with any of your needs.  You can always find another friendly face behind to desk as well, her pride and joy Neko a Bernese Mountain Dog.  The shop is packed wall-to-wall with everything a dog and its owner could ever want.  And if there is anything they don't have, they will be happy to put it on special order for you.  All of the products offered are chosen due to there hollistic and all-natural ingredients.  Danielle will be happy to assist you in whatever you need including questions and concerns.  If by chance there is not enough of her to go around you can rest assure that anything you purchase will be of the highest quality.  Customer service like this is hard to come by and I am glad to see someone out there takes pride in their work. Be sure to pick up Neko's famous doggie beer for you pooch to enjoy on a late night out!

Active Motion Physical Therapy (AMPT) may be new to the area, but is certainly a veteran of the business.  Husband and wife owners Kelley and Thomas Allardi have been practicing physical therapy since 1998.  Being a patient of theirs myself, I can tell you without a doubt that they gear 100% of their practice towards the clients wants and needs. They provide their patients with the knowledge of why their injuries happen and not only sooth their pain, but take the time to teach them how  prevent it from re-occurring.  Kelley also promotes a healthy lifestyle by offering weekly Pilates classes suitable for all ages and abilities.  For those of you who happen to have had joint replacement or the ever-popular "bad back" they have just the thing for you, Aquatic physical therapy. If you have tried therapy in the past and were unsuccessful for what ever reason, AMPT is a must.  Your body will thank you.

As sad as it is to see the Montrose school going, it does leave a big beautiful space for new families to join the Wakefield community. After much specualtion and taking the time to meet with the development expert who is leading this construction, Jeff Rhuda of Symes Associates, I have learned what exactly is to come. Not only is he a developemental genious, but he has proved himself also to be a polished yet personable gentleman. Now through all the speculation I have the right answer. The demolishion is scheduled to start in early September. Though this may be the most unpleasant time for neighbors, demo will be over in less than 3 weeks. Shortly after, piping for water and sewer will begin. If everything goes as planned sales will begin as early as November, with the homes going up early December and move-in ready May 2009. The site will be divided into 10 adjacent properties aurrounding a cul-de-sac. Land area will vary from 12,000-20,000 square feet. Home styles will vary, but will all be a minimum of 4 bedrooms. Atleast 2 of the site will be dug for full walk-out, daylight basements. With an early purchase you will be able to customize all of you finishing touches and even choose your model.

Please feel free to contact me (Efiore@remax.net) for further info and to see picture exmples of the finished product.

Hello active rainer's.  I have started blogging and though I have trouble thinking of something to talk about I read a lot of good tips today.  But then I thought why bother writing a blog unless someopne is going to read it.  Any tips on how you get clients to read it.  As in complete stranger and future clients to be more specific.  I am in the process of getting onto more blogging sites.  Are there any good ones to recomend?  And that brings me to my last question...is there anyway to combine your blogs to start on one site and be displyed on all sites?  Thanks in advance!  I do appreciate any and all help.  Also love success stories of blogging!!!

So after years of cursing developers I finally found out why new communities are left barren.  I finally asked why.  And simple as that my questions were answered.  Even the most beautifully maintained maples that don't appear to be in the way of homes being built, still cause a problem for developers.  Apparently the problem comes when they dig for water and sewer lines.  They do not cause a problem above ground, but apparently their 20+ year old roots are the source of their demise.  The developer I spoke with said he would love to keep the trees, but it is just not possible, as when they dig through the roots, the damage would cause them to die anyway.  I intend on doing more research on this subject to see if what he says is true and I will keep you posted.  If anyone has alternate reason please let me know, but until then I say there has got to be a way to save them.

Without even preaching environmental issues, I just think a development with trees is more charming.  And with a summer like the one we have had, shade is never a bad thing, especially when trying to save on energy costs of fans and air conditioners.  We have to also think of the prospective of our buyers.  Experience has told me they like well landscaped, cozy yards with trees.  Who is moving into these communities?  Young families.  I would love to see the days come back of homemade swings hanging from the old oak tree.  Sure you can always plant new trees, but by the time they grow the children will too be adults and since moved out!

Help!

I need a catch phrase.  I have no idea what to use.  I want something short, sweet and not corny!!!

I am totally stumped.

Please feel free to throw any ideas at me...any at all.

A little about my style:

down to earth, friendly, calm...a people person...and lets not forget I am always right.

hmmm

any help is appreciated.

THANKS.

Soooo...

Today I had to get to work extra early just so my dog could be picked up by daycare.  Pick up drop off is a great thing, but I am just pointing out that being a proud dog momma is in fact more difficult than having children.  I mean at least real babies poop in their pants and you won't have to take them out in the rain early in the morning only to have to pick up their poo...But I love him to death and wouldn't change it for the world.  I just wanted to point out that just because I don't have real human babies doesn't mean I am not a hard working real estate mom!!!
