real estate: Closing - 07/31/08 10:18 AM
I just wanted to update you on my last deal. It is closing today. I am so excited. I was able to help a long time friend, from school, get out of her current living situation, and get a new life going. I am so thankful that she chose me. These are the times that you really love being a Realtor. Times when you are truly helping others, and not out there just to get the next deal. I love seeing people happy and moving forward in life. Funny how a change of sceenery, or town can do that. I wish

I thank you all for all of your support. Let's make this the strongest real estate site ever. Thank you, again

real estate: Making a difference in others. - 06/17/08 09:16 AM
Here is a little movie I just came across. It is a great little thought provoker. Too many times, in our day to day, we allow life to take our joy away, and then we try to pass that on to others that we have influence over. We allow circumstances to control us, our feelings and how we treat others. We have to decide that, no matter what is going on in our circumstances, we are not going to be controlled by them, but that we are going to control them. We have to look up, and beyond what is going

real estate: I am so excited!!! - 06/07/08 09:41 AM
Even in a down market, someone like me can get a client, show them a few houses, have them fall in love with one, get them qualified in an hour, and now prepare to put in an offer. There is still life in the marketplace! I have a friend from school, who she and her fiancee, want to buy. She emailed me about helping them move to my area. We were able to hook up yesterday, and the rest is history. I am so excited!!! I just had to share and tell others that if it can happen for me, it

real estate: What if your home isn't sell? - 06/02/08 10:22 AM
In today's market, homes are taking longer to sell. There is a large inventory in all price ranges. Buyers have a much larger selection of homes, from new and resale, to pick from. This is expected to continue through 2008 and into 2009. Also, you have allot of foreclosures and bank owned homes to compete with. If this is the case, what options do sellers have, if their homes aren't selling quickly? One of the main reasons that homes aren't moving fast is that the home is priced too high for today's market. Our median sales price was down 8.2 % from a year

real estate: What should you have in your offer, besides the price. - 05/16/08 09:17 PM
When you are buying a home, there is more than just picking a price. Your offer needs to include all conditions and the terms that you want to have met. Any counter offers need to include this information also. In California, as in most states, the offer is usually filled out by your real estate agent. Make sure that, before you sign the offer, you read the offer and fully understand it. This is the time to make sure that everything you want is put in writing. Even your Realtor can forget something that you needed in there. Also, just because the
