Grand Mesa Moose Day Saturday July 31st, Grand Mesa Visitor Center on - The first annual Grand Mesa Moose Day is scheduled for this Saturday up at the Forest Service Visitor Center on Grand Mesa, right at the corner of Highway 65 Scenic Byway and Baron Lake Drive.  
Back in January of 2005, the Division of Wildlife reintroduced moose on Grand Mesa from other areas in Colorado and some from Utah.  Over the last five years the moose have happily reproduced to an estimated 150 this year.
