Just wondering who out there is keeping an eye on Redfin, Buy Side. What are your thoughts about them. They seem to be growing, but some say Redfin can't be making the bills. What to believe.

WOW the new I phone!!!

Wow, The new I Phone, is everything they said and then some. Just wanting to know how all the other agent out there are finding it. I find it easy and faster then my last phone the BlackBerry Pearl. It also saves me money, No extra data plan. It's included in the monthly. So that is a savings of $348 a yr. So let me know what you think of the new I Phone.

Realtors run and hide, Lets talk taxes

Wow I was really hoping to get a lot of Realtors to ban together and get the word out on taxes in FL. It seem all the agents here in Fl. are to busy, I keep hearing them talk and blog about how bad it is out there. Yet very few want to stand and be heard. Taxes are killing sales here in Fl. Lets tell our government we need a better property tax plan. June 29th is the vote.

Foreclosure Numbers and the hidden truth, WHY.

Numbers, numbers, numbers, but not the whole story. If one was to look at the now or foreclosure rate they might get a little weary. For the real story look at the whole picture. A loan of any type has a high risk period, the first 3 to 5 years. Now ask yourself when were there record sales, 2003 is when it started here in Florida. Record sales would equal record loans. Now that we are in the fourth year from a record sale and loans year, it is only natural that we have record foreclosures. Now that you can see the whole picture, use this information to negotiate the best price and buy. People are scared and there are great deals out there. Keep a cool head and you'll come out on top.

Are we getting closer to a fix. I have to say NO. A new plan is out and it will be put in the voters hands on June 29th. It is said to save 24 billion for home owners and businesses, businesses being the big winner. Disney is to save over 3 million, and the average home owner is to save 174 dollars. Wesh 2 reported that it was sugar coated, and a short term fix.

Now is the time to get involved, (AGENTS). If you want business to pick up then stand up and be heard. How many times have you heard I can't sell and buy a smaller home due to the increase in taxes I will have to pay. Vote on June 29th. Let your clients know of what is to come. We need a better plan and one with a long tern fix.

Leads why pay for them!!!

We all get calls to buy leads, or real estate clients from the lead generators. Some one must be paying for them yet everyone I talk to says, stay away they are not good leads. Why are some agents paying money up front for a list of clients? You wouldn't pay another agent up front for a client or I would hope not. You would pay them a referral fee, right. So why don't the lead generators work off of a referral fee? Well it's because they know the numbers, they are sure to make more money of an up front fee. So that would tell me that there clients are not that strong or maybe just window shoppers. Maybe I'm missing the boat, they are still selling leads, that means someone is buying them right or they would go out of business. So how are they working out for you?

What are you doing to stay on top of your search list? Tips to stay or get to the first page of your Google search. The correct Tags. Google will catch you if you links stuffer! Sites are dropping from the top of the list for not following Google's recommendations. Educate your self on what Google is looking for. What will hurt you more then help you?

Judge gives Realtors a little 'r'

Found this on Inman this morning. Thought you might enjoy it.

Despite what Merriam-Webster says about Realtors (use a capital "R"), a written opinion by a judge who is presiding over an antitrust lawsuit filed by the U.S. Justice Department against the National Association of Realtors uses a lowercase "r" several times.
On page 22 of the judge's Nov. 27 opinion (see Inman News story) rejecting a motion by NAR to dismiss the case, the judge refers to "realtor MLSs" and on page 24 refers to a "realtor board's restrict practices," for example.
The big "R," little "r" debate has been the subject of legal complaints. San Francisco lawyer David Barry in 2002 was unsuccessful in a challenge to the Realtor trademark, and in 2004 a panel of judges for the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board unanimously ruled that the terms are not generic and denied a petition to cancel rights to the terms "Realtor" and "Realtors."
NAR registered the trademark to Realtor and Realtors in 1949 and 1950, and the term Realtor was coined in 1916.
"The Associated Press Stylebook and Libel Manual," a guide for journalists, recommends using "real estate agent" when possible, and to use Realtor "only if there is a reason to indicate that the individual is a member of the National Association of Realtors."
