Palos Verdes November 2010 Market Statistics - 12/16/10 11:06 PM

Statistics for the month of November 2010 for Palos Verdes real estate are now available and it shows quite a drop in closed sales for the month - only 18!  I am hoping this is an anomoly as 20 Palos Verdes homes have sold/closed escrow in the first 16 days of December.  Pending sales for November 2010 are up to 51 from 46 in October.  November inventory is again down to 221 active Palos Verdes Homes for sale compared to 254 in October (we are seeing the traditional holiday reduction as homeowners take their properties off the market for the holidays).

For some Palos Verdes homes owners, The Nutcracker Ballet is a family tradition.  This production, at most local dance studios,  is an anticipated annual event.
Here is a little history.  The ballet was first composed in 1891 by Marius Petipa, a world renowned choreographer, who commissioned Peter Tchaikovsky to compose the music for the tale "The Nutcracker and the Moose King".  It's first performance in 1892 was a complete failure.  Since then the Nutcracker has been the most widely performed ballet in the world.  In 1954 world renowned choreographer, George Balanchine, created a new production of The Nutcracker putting new life back into the … (0 comments)

Is Your FICO Score Reflecting Your Perfect Payment History? - 12/03/10 08:27 PM

Palos Verdes homes owners have heard stories or have actually experienced equity credit lines being reduced by financial institutions.  A letter is usually sent to the homeowner explaining that market conditions have dictated this reduction.  For example, a homeowner may have originally had a $60,000 home equity line and now it has been reduced to $35,000; the homeowner has currently used $30,000 of their original credit line.  Most believe that their credit scores are unaffected and that is incorrect.
Let's go a step further.  Your credit card limit was also reduced from $20,000 to $10,000 and your balance this month (after … (1 comments)
