Palos Verdes region (Region 10) is now accepting registration for the Fall 2013 online.  The Palos Verdes Region 10 of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) offers year round recreational and competitive youth soccer programs locally for four year olds (U5 division) all the way up to 19 year olds (U19).

We have just started to enjoy daylight savings time and Spring isn't even here yet, but summer school sign ups are fast approaching.  The Palos Verdes Unified School District has posted the calendar for this years summer programs and, if history repeats itself, they will fill up fast.
Registration for elementary students for summer school will begin on April 8, 2013.  The classes will be held this year at Silver Spur, Dapplegray, Mira Catalina and Vista Grande.  The school hours will be 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and classes run from June 17 through July 12, 2013.

Palos Verdes homes owners who are looking for assistance with their tax filings, are able again this year to make appointments at the Peninsula Seniors Center for free help with tax preparation.  This is an AARP Tax-Aide Program which has one-hour appointments that can be scheduled on the hour from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays only.
