There no better way to enjoy the gorgeous views of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa Mountains, desert sunsets or the city lights at night than to take a trip on our world famous Palm Springs Tram. Construction of the Tramway was an huge engineering challenge and was soon labeled by some the "8th wonder of the world.'' The enginners used helicopters in erecting four of the five supporting towers. Over 20 years later, the Tramway was designated an historical civil engineering landmark.
