 I read this about house prices, and didn't get it...
until I watched the video and looked up ROFLOL (Rolling on the Floor Laughing Out Loud).
House prices, in some areas, still have quite a ways to DROP.
 
Have you looked at the New Housing Bills that will be debated later this week?
Here's a pretty good consolidation of the Bills... We should be watching these.

There are tons of people who know that we are at or near the bottom of the real estate market, and they are ready to purchase a home.  Many of the folks we are talking to are looking at foreclosed property, because they believe they can get the best deals.

Gas is now over $4.00 a gallon, and the Raleigh SPCA just announced it's at capacity because people can no longer afford to pay for their pets.  It's a sad time.
And it's no longer something that's just happening in California... or Ohio... or Florida.  It's hitting home here in the Triangle where families were already walking a fine line living on credit cards to go on vacation.  The little bit of money Dubbya sent - barely made a dent for some folks.

An interview just done at 2:30 est on Bloomburg with the CEO of Equafax - would suggest that the "subprime" past due, foreclosure mess is really only in 7 states.  I found this pretty interesting, and HOPEFUL, since I don't happen to live in Cary, NC and we are NOT on his list!
