census: Port St. Lucie, Florida - 3rd Fastest Growing City in the Nation - 06/28/07 08:38 PM
According to U.S. Census figures released today (June 28, 2007) Port St. Lucie, on the east coast of Florida, is ranked as the third fastest growing city in the United States with 12,909 new residents between July 2005 and July 2006. While this is down from the #1 spot for 2003-2004 and the #2 spot for 2002-2003, it is still good news for this area. The housing market has slowed down, as it has throughout Florida, but we are still leading every other city in the state.
