house hunters sacramento: Did You Watch the House Hunters Show About Buying a Short Sale in Sacramento? - 03/15/10 08:50 AM

My husband and I watched HGTV's House Hunters last night because the show finally aired that I filmed last summer with my clients, Lali and Chris. If you missed it, HGTV will show it again in April and May. The show was about buying a short sale in Sacramento. Now, I often watch House Hunters even when I'm not on it. My husband doesn't understand this. He says, "Why would you watch a show about showing homes to buyers when that's what you do all day?" Um, because maybe I LIKE what I do?

You know how sometimes you get this nagging feeling like something is wrong, but you don't know what? I was getting dressed yesterday to film that last day of touring homes in Sacramento for House Hunters. Something kept bugging me, but it just wasn't coming to the top of my mind. As I brushed on mascara, it hit me. The home where where we were to be filming did not have a lockbox. It had been removed, and the sellers had the key.

For the past 3 years, I've had communication with the producers at House Hunters, that hugely popular HGTV cable show. Every time I've been approved for a show and lined up the buyers to participate, the buyers at the last minute have canceled. So I gave up. Yup, the heck with it. So you know what happens then right? It's kind of like trying to get pregnant, I hear, and then deciding to adopt. Minute that decision is made, bingo, we're pregnant.This time, the buyers approached me.
