tmobile: T-Mobile's International Email Can Cause Unexplained Roaming Charges - 12/29/09 09:00 AM
Some weird things in life can be explained, even if they make no logical sense. Like, right after you wash the car, it's going to rain. Or as soon as the warranty expires on a new appliance, it's going to break. But nothing makes sense about how a service provider such as T-Mobile can pick up roaming charges for cellphone calls one did not make from another country.
Before I left for Viet Nam, I called T-Mobile to arrange for International Emailing. This sounded like such a cool service. For less than $20 a month, T-Mobile promised me that I could … (9 comments)

Along with the upside of being a real estate agent and writing for a national web site such as About.com, there is also a downside. It's easy for consumers to find my telephone number. I could remove my cellphone number from my website, but what's the point? I want people to be able to call me. Especially home buyers and sellers in Sacramento.

But we got by because I still had my cellphone, … (23 comments)

Over the last year, I have replaced my computer (7 years old), printer (2 years), FAX (2 years), headset (six months) and my camera (one year). Ordinarily, I buy a new phone every year, too, but since I got my BlackBerry three years ago, I haven't felt the urge to upgrade it. Because it's familiar and it does everything I want it to, except for one thing.
Over the past week, it's been quitting on me. Right in … (15 comments)
