buyer agency: Is being a professional agent a thing of the past? - 08/08/08 08:35 PM
OK, I have spent the last few days glued to the blog   "Are You Open For Business..."     about whether we close the door on potential clients because we ask them to respect us and the laws that govern and protect the consumer. As a leader of a big office in Fairfield County CT education and training of our agents is some of the most important work that I do. And the dialogue has left me practically speechless.

buyer agency: I Won't Sign Anything and You Can't Make Me! - 08/01/08 04:20 PM
A few weeks ago there was a horrifying article in a Connecticut paper written by a journalist who is a first time homebuyer. Horrifying because he was extolling the virtues of his part time real estate agent who had not required him to "sign anything"
WOW! This really stopped me in my tracks.
What TERRIBLE advice - in total contradiction to what we know we must do as professional agents.
Unfortunately this is not an unusual situation. The article underscored the hesitancy many people have in establishing a professional working relationship with a real estate agent. It also clarified for me the lack of education … (2 comments)
