So you are thinking of selling your home but don't want to use a professional Real Estate Agent.
Many agents would not agree with me but it can be done. If you are lucky and the time is on your side it could possibly work. You just have to be aware of what you are getting yourself into before doing it. I have noticed that if your house is not sold in the first week or so it probably won't sell privately. I am not saying that it can work for everyone but some people do try and some are successful at it. This does not mean that you are instantly a Real Estate Agent. It means that you had the right buyer at the right place at the right time.
One of the things to consider is that when you are talking to a potential buyer on the phone, which you have never met, be careful what to tell them. If they are wanting to go see your home tomorrow at 2:00PM and you tell the potential client you and your wife are both at work and the kids are in school, you have just told a perfect stranger that ... more
