First-Time Homebuyers Lead the Way
The first-time home buyers seemed to be taking advantage of the tax credit with 47 percent of all Americans who purchased homes this year had not owned a home during the previous three years. In areas that seem to be catering to the second home buyer like Western North Carolina I do not believe has seen that kind of growth. The credit was recently extended through the middle of 2010 and expanded to include many existing homeowners. Now that is exciting and the fact that existing homeowners may take advantage of a tax break could help real estate in 2010.
