Montana State Trooper
I recently heard this hilarious (true) story about a Montana state trooper who was called to a car off the shoulder in deep snow just outside Great Falls.
Having pulled in behind the car with emergency lights flashing, he approached the driver's door and discovered an older gentleman asleep at the wheel with an empty bottle of vodka beside him.  
The driver awoke when the trooper tapped on the window and immediately panicked and started the car, engaged drive and hit the gas.  The car's speedometer began to show 20-30-40 mph but in fact was going nowhere as the wheels were spinning in the snow.
When the speedometer hit 50 mph the trooper, with a great sense of humor, began running on the spot beside the speeding (but stationary) car.
The driver is now totally freaked out believing the trooper is running at 50mph.  When the trooper yells "PULL OVER"  the driver dejectedly shook his head, turned the steering wheel and switched off the engine.
The driver was arrested and, to this day, is probably still mystified as to how a state trooper could run at 50 mph!
