New Year, New Home?
Happy New Year!  I really enjoy looking forward into the new year.  For me, it's a perfect time for goal setting and making a fresh start.  Have you made any resolutions or set any goals as we begin 2010?  I heard a report that 45% of Americans do.  Some of the most common resolutions are to spend more time with family, lose weight, get organized, or quit smoking.I have another resolution for you to consider in the new year.  I would encourage you to consider 2010 as the year to purchase your first or next home.  I would encourage you to take advantage of the great inventory selection in Oklahoma and the record low interest rates!  2010 may be the best time to buy an Oklahoma home!On top of the large selection and low interest rates the federal government is offering a tax credit to home buyers.  Have you heard about it?For first time buyers purchasing a home before April 30, 2010, they may qualify for a tax credit equal to 10% of the purchase price up to $8,000.  There are income limits to qualify.  The limit for an individual is $125,000 and for a married couple it's $225,000.This tax credit is not limited to ... more
