New Years Eve reflections
Ever since the beginning of time or at least forty years ago a group of us that graduated from high school together have gotten together on New Years Eve. There are only four couples so its not a big crowd and we can all be together for games. This year I noticed a different theme that was evident as we talked, ate and played games. As we are all in our fifties the conversation drifted toward health issues, I was taken aback and amazed by the stories I heard, one of the couples son had been in a bad accident and suffered a severe head injury that required months of medical care and still continues today, this family has turned this tragedy into a positive and now they go to schools, churches, and a host of other places to witness how their belief in God has healed with miraculouspowers. Another couple shared how a friend of theirs had cancer and was witnessing in a positive manner, its was amazing to hear them talk about this I could tell they were moved by the faith of this person.
