Incredible Bath Or Shower Systems - The Wedi System Is Amazing
 
How many people are thinking of remodeling a bathroom or have recently done it?
 
My wife and I are in the process of shopping for tile and fixtures for three bathrooms. As many of you know, remodeling three bathrooms can be expensive so I planned to tackle much of it myself.  One of the things I planned to leave to the tile installer was the shower pan which will be tiled with stone.
 
All of my prior research indicated that building a custom shower floor and making it water proof could be something that may turn into a disaster. I heard about putting down a layer of rubber, making sure it is sealed correctly, lots of drying time, etc etc
 
This weekend was an eye opening experience for me. I visited a tile store where the introduced me to the Wedi System. The system includes 3x5 foam boards that are completely water proof, very light and easy to work with. They provide a floor pan that is made of the same material and includes a drain that seals perfectly to your waste pipe. Seams are sealed with a special rubber caulk.
