The Kindle - is it for you?
I recently got a Kindle as a gift, and as someone who never goes anywhere without a book, I absolutely love it!  For those who aren't too familiar with them they are 1/3 of an inch and weigh 10 ounces.   They can hold up to 1500 books at any one time and receive them wirelessly in approximately 60 seconds.  You have the option of turning the wireless off and on so it doesn't drain your battery.   By keeping the wireless off you can read up to a week on one battery charge.  How amazing is that?  Perfect for someone who likes to go camping or boating or somewhere where you might not have access to electricity on a day to day basis.  One of the best features is you can sample a book before you buy it.  If you see a book you think you might want you can get a few chapters for FREE, yes for FREE and after you read them if you decide the book is not for you there is no obligation to purchase the book.  If you do like it you just make the purchase.  The average book cost or should I say the average ... more
