Expecting Professional Behavior, The Story Gets Worse – Part 1
Since writing the blog post yesterday where I referenced three agents who I have had bad experiences with in the last few weeks one of transactions is now at the next level.
One of the things I dread about dealing with a bad agent is not just the problems they create while in the transaction, but the long term hassles that may come from it.  I have an escrow with a principal broker on the other side.  Until 4 weeks into the escrow I thought he was a figment of someone's imagination.  I have never seen, spoken or even got a returned message back from him.  He made an appointment to show the property originally and he no showed and never called.  I had an open house that weekend and his clients came to it without the agent.
About 10 days later I received an offer that had been expired more than 7 days when he finally had his assistant transmit it to us.  I tried to call the agent with no success and finally reached the assistant.  After going back and forth with the assistant, I got a counter offer in their hands with fresh dates.  As you may have guessed it ... more
