Happy Valentine's Day! Last February, I wrote a blog by the same titile. One year later, however, I find that much of the romance has gone out of buying a home. A year and a half of recession has taken the spontanaity out of buying a house. Gone are the days of "I love it. I'll take it!" Today, people want to over analyze their decisions to ensure a perfect match and a logical fit. These are avoidance tactics. They are having trouble commiting to the relationship.
Enter the match maker, a. k. a., the Realtor. Never has it been more important to stress that we know how to find the perfect house, based on what our clients tell us. We know how to stick to budgets, pick neighborhoods based on amenities such as transportation and shopping, and find the best looking house on the block. It's time to take control and stress our expertise. I know that people are stressed out about things like job retention, but they have to live somewhere.
