Salt Water Pool vs Chlorine - I recently had a client ask me which is better. Well, in my humble opinion, salt water is better and here is why:
First of all, while there is chlorine in BOTH pools, the amount in a salt water pool is minimal! That means that a salt water pool is kinder to your skin and hair. No more worries about your hair turning green from swimming in chlorine water! No more itching and dry skin - these are all positive!
Salt water pools are cheaper to maintain!!! Now that is always good news! You just add salt - the electrical system charges the salt and creates it's own chlorine!!! You are probably purchasing salt for your water softener anyway, so just get some more!
And here is the big one that clients are always asking: Can a chlorine pool be converted to a salt water pool? The answer is YES!!!
So there you have not only the information on the differences between the two but my opinion on why a salt water pool is the only way to go!!!
