Should we use MLS?

Some people ask whether it is necessary to list a house for sale by owner in MLS. The answer is ‘Definitely, yes!’ More than 86% of potential buyers obtain agents to search for a house. For most realtors the MLS is the first tool for finding options.
Moreover, when you list your property you are able to reach a wide audience because the database can be nation wide and if you are in MLS all the realtors will be able to look at your house. However, bear in mind that if you have decided to do listing you have to pay a commission to a buyer’s agent (in Missouri it is 2.7%).
