This co-operative was built in 1968 within the Islip School District #2. The Woodlands at Islip can be reached by Route 111 and a left on Union Blvd to the entry sign.  Each unit in this community has oil heat and gas cooking. 
 
There are upper and ground level units with a terrace or patio and also 2 story duplex units with the bedrooms on the upper levels.  Dogs are permitted up to 30 lbs. The community of The Woodlands has a pool, a relaxing gazebo, studio apartments , plus 1 and 2 bedroom co-ops. There are no garages here, but there is ample parking. The monthly common charge includes taxes, heat, gas cooking, water, landscaping, snow removal and trash pickup.
